<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked piezoelectric element in which the occurrence of impediment in the displacement of a stacked body in the laying direction and the electrical disconnection of an internal electrode and an external electrode can be suppressed through a simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: The stacked piezoelectric element 1 comprises the stacked body 2 formed by laying a plurality of piezoelectrics 3 and 5 and a plurality of internal electrodes 11 and 13 alternately, first external electrodes 23 provided on respective side faces 4 and 6 of the stacked body 2 and connected electrically with the internal electrode 11 or 13, and a planar second external electrode 25 provided on the outside of the first external electrodes 23 and extending while waving along the laying direction of the stacked body 2. A recess 30 extending along a direction intersecting the laying direction of the stacked body 2 is formed in each side face 4, 6, and the first external electrode 23 and the second external electrode 25 are connected electrically and physically at joints located on the upper and lower sides of the recess 30 in the extending direction thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
