<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the impact-resisting strength of a crown cover plate by forming a comparatively thick front connection section in the crown cover plate and connecting the front connection section to a connection surface of an upper recess section of a main body of a head. <P>SOLUTION: A face plate and the upper recess section are disposed in the main body of the head 2 and the connection surface 23 is formed between an upper end of the face plate 21 and a front end edge of the upper recess section. The front connection section is formed at the front end of the crown cover plate 1 which matches the face plate 21 and the front connection section is formed to be thicker than the other part of the crown cover plate 1 so that the strength of the whole structure of the crown cover plate 1 can be increased. The crown cover plate 1 is constituted to increase the impact-resisting strength by connecting the crown cover plate 1 to the connecting surface 23 of the main body of the head 2 through the comparatively thick front connection section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
