PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for a two-component developer giving high image density, excellent in thin line reproducibility and gradation, and ensuring no change in performance even after long-time use, with respect to a toner for electrostatic image development. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic image development comprises toner particles having a volume average particle diameter of 4-9μm to which at least an external additive has been added, wherein toner particles whose particle diameter is <4μm are included by≤13% by number of the total number of the toner particles, toner particles whose particle diameter is 4-6μm are included by≥20% by number of the total number of the toner particles, and toner particles whose particle diameter is≥16μm are included by≤2.0% by volume of the total volume of the toner particles.
