PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent discoloration of a dielectric and to maintain good display quality. SOLUTION: Patterns 2 for address electrode are formed and dried on a rear glass substrate 1 using silver paste for address electrode formation. The average particle size of silver powder of the silver paste is approximately 10 nm and the softening point of the glass frit is approximately 420°C. The content of the glass frit in the silver paste is set at 5 wt%. Then, patterns 3 for dielectric layer are formed and dried so as to cover the address electrode patterns 2 using glass paste for white dielectric layer formation. Softening point of the glass frit of the glass paste is approximately 540°C. Then, the patterns 2 for address electrode and the patterns 3 for dielectric layer are calcined at 540°C. Thereby, the resin component of the address electrode patterns 2 and the dielectric layer patterns 3 is burnt and glass frit component is softened and adhered to the rear glass substrate 1.
