PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping inspection device simultaneously making the surface inspection and gas leak inspection of piping arranged at a high place by a relatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: The piping inspection device 2 for inspecting the piping 34 through which a gas flows is equipped with a rod body 4, the camera means 6 provided to the leading part of the rod body 4 and a gas detection means 10 for detecting the gas present in the gas detecting region 8 in the vicinity of the leading end part of the rod body 4. The surface of the piping 34 is inspected by the camera means 6 and the leak of the gas flowing through the piping 34 is detected by the gas detection means 10.
