PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of making ice with high transparency by irradiating ultraviolet rays without removing an automatic ice maker from a body to carry out effective sterilization of an ice tray, and using heat of an ultraviolet lamp. SOLUTION: In the refrigerator, an ice maker 7 wherein supply water from a water supply tank provided in a refrigerating space is received by the ice making pan 9 to make ice, completion of ice making is automatically detected when ice making is completed, the ice tray is turned to separate ice, and the separated ice 22 is stored in an ice storage box 8 is installed in an ice making chamber 5 of the refrigerating space. It is characterized by that it is provided with the lamp 23 irradiating light including ultraviolet rays on the ice tray in the ice making chamber, and irradiation of the ultraviolet rays from the lamp is carried out from ice separation of the ice tray to a predetermined time after ice making water supply.
