BASE ISOLATION STRUCTURE OF BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure of a building capable of suppressing a foundation construction cost to a rather low cost by utilizing the advantage of slidably pivoting type base isolation pivoting means. SOLUTION: In this base isolation structure of the building, the building 1 is supported through the plurality of base isolation pivoting means 20 and 30 dispersedly disposed on a foundation structure 10. Restoring bearings 20 are disposed on the pile heads of foundation piles 11a installed at four corners of the building 1. Sliding bearings 30 with rotating mechanisms are disposed on the pile heads of foundation piles 11b installed at the center parts (portions between the four corners) of the building 1. All base isolation pivoting means 30 and 30 are installed at an approximately ground level (GL). The foundation piles 11a at four corners adjacent to each other in the lateral direction are connected to the foundation piles 11b adjacent to the foundation piles 11a at four corners in the longitudinal direction through underground beams 13A and 13B.
