PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a foreign matter receiving part from overflowing with a foreign matter, and preventing the foreign matter from adhering to the surface of a grid or a photoreceptor drum positioned under the foreign matter receiving part. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the photoreceptor drum 31, a discharge wire 33 for performing corona discharge to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 31, a cleaning member 34 for cleaning the discharge wire 33 by moving along the discharge wire 33, and the foreign matter receiving parts 36 and 38 provided in the cleaning member 34 for receiving the foreign matter S removed from the discharge wire 33, and is equipped with a foreign matter recovery part 52 for recovering the foreign matter in the foreign matter receiving parts 36 and 38.
