PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation or breakage of a gate lower end part due to a load input from a rear pillar at the time of rolling of a vehicle body. SOLUTION: A cross-section of a central part 21 of the gate lower end part 15 is formed roughly rectangular and cross-sections of both end parts 16 of the gate lower end part 15 are formed roughly in an inverse triangle one side of which extends in a direction roughly along inclination of a rear pillar 9 on the rear part chassis frame and body construction 1 of a vehicle furnished with the rear pillar 9 constituting left and right both side parts of a rear gate opening part 8 formed on a vehicle body rear end part and inclined backward toward below, a rear end panel 6 extended in the vehicle widthwise direction and provided on the lower side of this rear gate opening part 8 and a rear end cross member 13 forming the closed cross-section shape gate lower end part 15 with this rear end panel 6.
