PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip type book weight which is so shaped as to have an increased approachability and easiness to use so that children, including high-school students, can use it with ease. SOLUTION: A clip of a plastic being a familiar material is provided so that it overlaps the upper part of a bookmark of the same plastic, and the plastic is colored variously. The bookmark is usually put between the pages of a book, and on the occasion when the book is opened, the end of the book is held by the clip, while the bookmark is laid under the book.
