PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminating member capable of peeling a surface protecting layer from the surface of a heat-resistant base material to favorably transfer it to the surface of an article to be protected and capable of finishing the surface of the article to be protected in a uniform and clean matte state. SOLUTION: The laminating member 1 has a preliminarily roughened surface by forming a matte layer 3 having a structure wherein a matting agent is dispersed in a binder formed by the sol-gel reaction of a silane coupling agent and a silica sol after the surface 21, on which the surface protecting layer 4 is laminated, of the heat-resistant base material 2 is coated with a coating solution containing the silane coupling agent, the silica sol and the matting agent and having releasability with respect to the surface protecting layer 4.
