PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold positioning mechanism of an injection molding machine which, when a locating ring insertion member corresponding to the locating ring of the mold is fitted to the locating ring insertion hole in a fixed plate, can surely fit the locating ring insertion member to the fixed plate by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The locating ring insertion member 21 corresponding to a locating ring 14b having a smaller diameter is set in the internal part of the locating ring insertion member 19, so as to be mountable thereto, corresponding to a locating ring 14a having a larger diameter which is fitted to the locating ring insertion hole 13 in the fixed plate 12.
