The invention relates to a solar cell structure comprising a base substrate, a front face on which the light falls and a rear face on which all of the electric contracts are disposed, and which collects the photogenerated carriers on the front face thereof. The base substrate comprises reduced-thickness zones in which bipolar transistors are formed, which transport the photogenerated carriers on the front face to the rear face. When the substrates are p type the bipolar transistors are npn and when the substrates are n type the bipolar transistors are pnp. Said structures can be produced using industrial methods that are compatible with screen printing techniques.
