PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image sensor in which a pixel is not mechanically driven but a video image is intensively distorted to fetch the video image into the image sensor and images of different pixel densities for each of portions can be obtained by correcting the distortion by digital processing later, namely, an image sensor (reconfigurable image sensor) capable of virtually and dynamically changing the pixel density using a program. SOLUTION: An insulated fluid or a fluid having electrical characteristics is used for the material of a lens or mirror and the fluid is controlled by a two-dimensional electrostatic head, thereby distorting a translucent or reflected video image.
