PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the concentration of location registration which occurs in the case that a plurality of mobile stations simultaneously move by mass transporting means (trains, busses, or the like), in a mobile communication system. SOLUTION: A mobile station for use in a mobile communication system which accepts location registration from mobile stations in order to manage the locations of mobile stations is provided with a detection means for detecting that the mobile station exists within an overlap zone of hierarchical location registration areas and a delay means for delaying location registration in response to detection of the detection means.
