PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate door device capable of securely moving a traveling column of an expansible gate door up to a predetermined position while it faces a predetermined direction by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This gate door device 1 is provided with the horizontal pantograph type expansible gate door 3, the traveling column 5 connected with one end of the expansible gate door 3, and a swing prevention member 7. The expansible gate door 3 has an upper pantograph member 13a, a lower pantograph member 13b, a central shaft 15 supporting central parts of each upper and lower pantograph member 13a, 13b rotatably, and a guided part 17 provided on an axial line 15a of any central shaft 15 among a plurality of central shafts. The swing prevention member 7 has a protruding part 25 fixed to the traveling column 5 and protruding on an expansible gate door side more than the traveling column 5. The protruding part 25 is provided with a guide part 27 engaging with the guided part 17, which moves freely and linearly along the guide part 27 in accordance with expansion and contraction of the expansible gate door 3.
