PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly precise rotation of a shaft in a high speed by fixing an inner ring of a bearing, which pivots a rotary shaft on a supporting body, with the rotary shaft; and to facilitate assembly and disassembly of a bearing fixing unit in a simple structure. SOLUTION: The bearing fixing unit A fixes the inner ring 8b of a main bearing (bearing) 8 on a main spindle 4 rotatably supporting the main spindle (rotary shaft) 4 on a bearing cylinder (supporting body) 6 of a spindle head 1, and a circular groove 4d which separates a designated distance from a stepped face 4c and a stepped face 4c is formed on the main spindle 4. One end of the inner ring 8b of the main bearing 8 fitted to the main spindle 4 is brought into contact with the stepped face 4c of the main spindle 4, and the other end of the inner ring 8b is brought into contact with one end of a sleeve (pressure cylinder member) 11 fitted to the main spindle 4 with an interference fit. The other end of the sleeve 11 is brought into contact with an annular collar 12 which consists of a pair of split rings 12a fitted into the annular groove 4d in order to prevent the sleeve 11 from moving to the other end side in an axial direction.
