PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption while maintaining a proper execution speed by varying the distribution of execution time translation and intermediate word interpreting.

SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with an interpretive execution means 123 for executing the interpretation of a source program or an intermediate language program and an execution time translating means 124 for translating the program into a machine language program unique to a computer. This information processor is provided with a power saving request monitoring part 126 for monitoring the existence of a power saving request from an input interface for requesting the suppression of the power consumption of the information processor or a power saving request predetermined in a predetermined storage device and a power saving translation part 129 for deciding the execution propriety of the execution time translation of the program in the execution time translating means 124 in response to the presence/absence of the power saving request, and for instructing the execution time translating means 124 to execute the execution time translation processing based on the propriety decision.
