PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exchange a magnetic head at an appropriate timing by accurately grasping the wear quantity of the magnetic head. SOLUTION: In the magnetic data processing apparatus provided with a magnetic head 2 performing reading processing and write-in processing of magnetic data by being in contact with a magnetic medium 1, an alarm layer 2a indicating wear quantity which indicates exchange of the magnetic head 2 is colored with a color different from a ground color of the magnetic head 2 and provided inside the magnetic head 2, the wear quantity of the magnetic head 2 can be confirmed by the fact that whether the alarm layer 2a appears on the surface or not.
