PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there are many needs for judging TO, CC, or BCC without opening mails as a criterion in opening mails by deciding a priority order under the condition that large amounts of mails are transmitted/received. SOLUTION: As for the electronic mail to be transmitted, a server or client determine address information, and embeds a discrimination symbol in a mail theme section so that it is possible for a receiver to discriminate TO, CC, BCC or the like without opening the mail. In this system, there is such a merit that it is not necessary to depend on the mail client type of a receiver. When the discrimination character or symbol of TO, CC and BCC is added to the mail theme section, it is erased in returning/transferring the mail so that the mail title can be prevented from being made complicate due to the repetition of the return/transfer of the mail.
