PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development processing apparatus that can maintain processing solution performance, without deteriorating the processing solution in a tank in a standby state and immediately perform development processing at an order request for development processing, even when the standby state becomes long. SOLUTION: The processing apparatus a silver halide photosensitive material which stops stirring the processing solution upon detecting a predetermined elapsed time, after processing has ended and stirs the processing solution on detecting the temperature of the processing solution dropping lower than a predetermined temperature.
