摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display whose heat generation is suppressed by reducing the power consumption, while suppressing deterioration in the image quality, such as flickers. SOLUTION: Used is the liquid crystal display, equipped with a liquid crystal control section 5 which controls a liquid crystal panel 4. The liquid crystal control section 5 is equipped with an image deciding circuit 11 which compares the gradations of input image data by pixels with a reference gradation and a system determining section 12 which determines, as a selective inversion driving system, an inversion driving system for the polarity, when the input image data are displayed on a liquid crystal panel 4 by a plurality of pixels less than one frame containing the pixels based on the comparison results. Here, the reference gradation is set, preferably, to a border gradation between gradations with which the picture quality of the liquid crystal panel 4 is easy to deteriorate and gradations, with which the image quality is less likely to deteriorate.
