PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor that can be assembled while absorbing the dimensional tolerance in the rotary shaft direction of a casing, a a rotor, stator, and a thrust pressurizing portion. SOLUTION: The stepping motor 1 is provided with the rotor 5 arranged on the outside circumference of a shaft 3; stators 7, 7A that give torque to the rotor 5; the thrust pressurizing portion 15 that pressurizes the shaft 3 in the direction of a shaft line L; and the casing 9. This casing 9 comprises a casing body 91 that extends cylindrically in the direction of a shaft line L and a cap 93 that has a cover portion 93h that is fitted in such a way that its position can be adjusted in the direction of the shaft line L at an opening side end portion 91a of the casing body 91 and that supports the shaft 3 in the direction of the shaft line L via the thrust pressurizing portion 15.
