PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate repairing method which enables a gate of a weir and that of a dam to be repaired without the replacement of the whole of a door body. SOLUTION: This gate repairing method is used for repairing the gates (2a-2d) which are equipped with a pair of supports (6a-6d), and door bodies (5a-5d) vertically movably supported among supports (6a-6d) so as to open/close a waterway. The gate repairing method comprises: a step of separating the door bodies (5a-5d) into a door-body central part (25) and left and right door-body side parts (25a and 25b) in positions away from both left and right ends by a predetermined width; and a step of connecting door-body side parts (50a and 50b), different from the sides parts (25a and 25b), to the left and right sides of the central part (25).
