PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium oxide dispersion liquid in which a calcium oxide having a small particle diameter and high purity is homogeneously dispersed, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The calcium oxide dispersion liquid contains calcium oxide fine particles having a median particle diameter (volume basis) of 1-200 nm and a maximum particle diameter of 10-1,000 nm, and an organic dispersion medium. In the manufacturing method of the calcium oxide dispersion liquid, the calcium oxide dispersion liquid is produced by filling the calcium oxide fine particles, the organic dispersion medium and beads of 5 to 200μm in diameter into a container and stirring these materials.
