PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing apparatus having a standby tray for stably dropping paper sheets onto a processing tray. SOLUTION: Tray members 10a, 10b of a standby tray 10 are not uniform in width for loading paper sheets, but formed narrower on a rear end side of the paper sheets. When the tray members 10a, 10b slide and start to open, the paper sheets P drop first from the rear end side since a supporting range on the rear end side of the paper sheets is narrow.
