PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage collecting vehicle capable of restricting abrasion of a garbage loading device by controlling oil pressure of the garbage loading device, preventing over-loading of garbage, and saving fuel. SOLUTION: This garbage collecting vehicle is provided with a garbage throw-in box arranged in a rear part of a garbage housing box and the garbage loading device built in the garbage throw-in box and driven by oil pressure. This garbage collecting vehicle is also provided with a means such as a control device, a pressure control valve 54 and a relief valve 55 for detecting oil pressure of the garbage loading device in excess of the predetermined value and for counting the number of times, and in the case wherein that number of times exceeds the predetermined number, for lowering the relief pressure of the garbage loading device.
