PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum washing machine with an upwardly-openable door which is opened and closed by being moved to the upper side of a cabinet and which is usable as a laundry holder when opened, thereby facilitating the opening of the door even when the washing machine is installed in a limited space, conveniently taking laundry in and out and improving the convenience of a user. SOLUTION: This drum washing machine with the upwardly-openable door includes a cabinet 10 where an opening 11 for taking the laundry in and out is formed on a front surface, the door 30 positioned on the front surface of the cabinet 10 to open and close the opening 11, and a door opening/closing mechanism 40 connected between the cabinet 10 and the door 30 to open the door 30 while moving it to the upper side of the cabinet 10 such that the front surface of the door 30 is upwardly directed when the door 30 is open and to close the door while moving it to the front surface of the cabinet 10.
