<p>A laminating machine with an aligner section comprising a motor-driven glueing station and a set of feed rollers with a stop rail which can be moved in the cross-machine direction and angled as required so as to align the sheets correctly. A laminating machine for laminating two or more sheets (3, 4, 5) (same or different materials), comprising at least one motor-driven, continuous feeder track with a motor-driven aligner (1) followed by a laminating conveyor (2), in which glue is applied to the sheets (3, 4, 5) one after the other in a glueing station (6) on the aligner (1) which has (a) a roller feed comprising several motor-driven, rod-shaped, one-piece rollers (7) or belts with parallel axes and spaces between, running at right angles to the sides (9, 10) of the aligner (1) and extending over the entire width (and preferably over the entire length) of the feeder track, (b) at least one stop rail running in the direction of feed (E) and capable of angular adjustment and stopping in opposite directions (C-D) with respect to the sheet feed direction (E) and between the sides (9, 10), such that a sheet (3) can be aligned laterally with respect to (E) and also exactly aligned at the front (32) by running onto one or more stop fingers (31) on the end of the laminating conveyor (2), and (c) at least one motor-driven device (14, 17) for producing a reduced pressure which holds the sheets (3, 4, 5) against the rollers (7) by suction, while the conveyor (2) also has a vacuum system (14) which holds the sheets (5) down by suction. An independent claim is also included for a laminating machine in which the aligner (1) or its roller section can be rotated progressively within a restricted angle about an orthogonal axis (21) in opposite directions (C-D), and also stopped at the required angle.</p> |
