<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to adjust light for next photographing and to photograph with proper light, when photographing a same eye to be examined continuously. <P>SOLUTION: (S11) Pupillary zone is extracted through a binarizing process using a proper threshold of the difference of brightness between the iris and pupil of an anterior ocular segment image. (S12) Pupil diameter D is calculated from the separated pupillary zone. (S13) Light to be increased for photographing is calculated from a conversion table for increased light value based on the pupil diameter D. When the light to be increment values of the pupil diameter D: 2.5 mm 0.8, 3.0 mm 0.6, 3.5 mm 0.4, 4.0 mm 0.3 (S14) is calculated, the light for the next photographing is calculated by adding the value to the previous light value.
