METAL STRANDED CORD COVERED WITH THERMOPLASTIC SATURATED POLYESTER, AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a stranded cord covered with a thermoplastic saturated polyester which is capable of conducting the direct coating on a steel stranded cord and of which the outer surface is covered with a saturated polyester perfectly without no crack such as a pin hole, and to provide a stranded cord covered with a thermoplastic saturated polyester that has high corrosion resistance and weatherability as a produced material and that is strong against predetermined bending and is excellent in impact resistance. SOLUTION: The covering method of the metal stranded cord comprises a step of heating the surface of the metal stranded cord to the melting point or more of the thermoplastic saturated polyester resin and a step of applying the resin powder on the surface of the heated metal stranded cord.
