PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device properly transmitting power in a nut equipped with a top. SOLUTION: A rib 45b is formed over the generally full length of the nut 45, so that , even if a top hole 45c is provided, the stiffness thereof can be improved. Therefore, the deformation of the nut 45 can be suppressed, and operation sound can be decreased. Even if transmission torque from an electric motor 35 is large, power can be properly transmitted from a gear member 39 to the nut 45 while easing stress, and the device is made to be compact.
