<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer device capable of accurately modulating light by phase control even when a power waveform is distorted and partially lost. <P>SOLUTION: This dimmer device is provided with: a rectification circuit 3 for rectifying A.C. power 1; a setting part 4 capable of setting a dimming level and used for outputting a predetermined dimming signal; a control part 5 for outputting a phase control signal based on the output from the rectification circuit 3 and the dimming signal from the setting part 4; and a dimming circuit 6 for light-modulating an illumination load 2 by phase control at timing of the phase control signal from the control part 5. The control part 5 measures an instantaneous voltage of the waveform from the rectification circuit 3 at predetermined intervals in relation to a phase control range determined based on the dimming signal from the setting part 4, compares effective voltage information obtained from the measurement value thereof with a theoretical value previously stored in the control part 5, and compensates over-and-short portions of the effective voltage due to waveform change of the power voltage in the next power half-cycle and onward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
