PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a raw material for sintering for obtaining sintered ore having excellent reducibility and cold strength from high crystal water ore. SOLUTION: In the production method, at first, high crystal water ore 3 is mixed with powdery iron ore 4 and/or blast furnace slag powder 5, and is further granulated into a water-containing granule 6, and iron ore 7, an SiO<SB>2</SB>-containing raw material 8 and the water-containing granule are charged from the charge port of a drum mixer 2, and are granulated, so as to be pseudo grains. In the region set in the middle of the downstream side where residence time till the arrival of the pseudo grains to the exhaust port of the drum mixer reaches the range of 10 to 90 s, a limestone-based powder raw material 9 and a solid fuel-based powder raw material 10 are added, and, in the meanwhile till the pseudo grains reach the exhaust port, the limestone-based powder raw material and the solid fuel-based powder raw material are stuck to the surfaces of the pseudo grains.
