PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for removing a urethane-based hot-melt adhesive which remains on a coater or inside the coater, and to provide a method for removing the adhesive. SOLUTION: This agent for removing the urethane-based hot-melt adhesive is used for removing the urethane-based hot-melt adhesive (B) which adheres to the coater and has isocyanate groups in its molecule from the coater, by being mixed with the adhesive (B), and contains an adduct (A) of alkylene oxides with an active hydrogen-containing compound, wherein the alkylene oxides contain propylene oxide in an amount of≥10 wt% based on a weight of the total alkylene oxides.
