PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably and efficiently producing an elastomer from a polymerization solution. SOLUTION: The method for carrying out after-treatment of the polymerization solution of a polymer comprises controlling the hot water amount from a crumb concentration calculated by using the polymer production amount and the water amount to a steam stripping step or controlling the hot water amount from a crumb concentration calculated in a real time from the polymer production amount and the water amount to a steam stripping step, in the steam stripping step desolvating the polymer solution, obtained by a solution polymerization, by steam.
