PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that uses that high-frequency electromagnetic waves heat water in an efficient way. SOLUTION: To make maximum use of the heating efficiency of high-frequency electromagnetic waves, the inside of each water-channel element is formed into a water channel where wide and shallow water channels are stacked one on top of another. The water-channel elements are stacked in several layers. A wave guide is branched and installed between the layers of the water-channel elements so that high-frequency electromagnetic waves can be applied between the layers of the water-channel elements. An application opening is provided to increase the heating efficiency. This offsets the disadvantage of high-frequency electromagnetic waves being difficult to penetrate through the depth of water, and enables efficient heating. With the water-channel elements stacked in several layers, the time that it takes for the high-frequency electromagnetic waves to heat the water to the appropriate temperature is created to increase the efficiency of the electronic water heater.
