PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjuster capable of surely fulfilling a locking function at the time of adjusting the angle of the seat back of a seat for a vehicle. SOLUTION: For the position adjuster, a second member 2 is rotatably pivoted to a first member 1, the second member 2 has a circular-arcuate outer periphery 2a concentric to a rotary shaft 4 relating to pivoting and is provided with a plurality of notched grooves 2b along the circular arcuate outer periphery 2a, and a locking member 3 for regulating the relating rotation position of the second member 2 to the first member 1 by being locked to the notched grooves 2b is provided on the side of the first member 1. The locking member 3 can be locked / detached along the rotation radius direction of the second member 2 to/from the notched grooves 2b and is provided with a locking part 3a which bears shearing force by a receiving part 7 provided on the first member 1 and the notched grooves 2b.
