The front (13) and back (11) frame assembly is constructed of profiled sections extending along the length of the machine and corresponding to the full machine height. The profile approximates to a hollow rectangular section (51, 51'), open on one side with intermediate stiffeners. The flat sides act as mounting surfaces for bobbin carriers and other fittings (15). An independent claim is also included for the use of such a frame in an installation in which the frame is mounted on a base of half the height of the back or front frame. |
