<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent for inorganic fibers imparting good fretting resistance and opening properties to an inorganic fiber bundle and exhibiting sufficient strength in an inorganic fiber-reinforced composite material, and to provide an aqueous dispersion of the sizing agent for the inorganic fibers. <P>SOLUTION: The sizing agent for the inorganic fibers comprises an alkaline earth metal salt (A) of a 12-24C aliphatic carboxylic acid and a thermoplastic resin and/or a thermosetting resin (B). The aqueous dispersion of the sizing agent for the inorganic fibers is composed of the alkaline earth metal salt (A) of the 12-24C aliphatic carboxylic acid and the thermoplastic resin and/or the thermosetting resin (B) and an aqueous medium. The inorganic fiber bundle is obtained by treatment with the sizing agent or the aqueous dispersion of the sizing agent. An inorganic fiber product and prepreg are composed of the inorganic fiber bundle.
