<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative photosensitive resin composition, capable of directly producing plates using an infrared laser, having high sensitivity and superior storage stability even under a high humidity environment, and to provide a lithographic printing original plate that uses the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The negative photosensitive resin composition contains a polymer, having at least a structural unit of Formula (1) as the backbone of a polymer skeleton or a structural unit of Formula (2) as a side chain, and also having a phenolic hydroxyl group or a polymer mixture of a polymer, having at least a structural unit of Formula (1) as a backbone of a polymer skeleton or a structural unit of Formula (2) as a side chain and a polymer, having a phenolic hydroxyl group. The lithographic printing original plate, using the composition, is also provided.
