The invention relates to a method for production of components, in particular, for application in vehicles, whereby at least one sheet (5,8,14,18,21), made from a boron-alloy tempered or hardened steel, is joined to at least one sheet of roughly the same material quality or another steel material and the material composite (10) is subjected to a forming process. At least the boron-alloy sheet (5, 8, 14, 18, 21) is hot-formed and subjected to an in situ press quenching with closed moulding tool halves (11,12).
