Facilitates the cutting of continuous lengths of foamed materials with a right-angled cross-section by raising and lowering the material relative to the cutting edge during a horizontal slitting operation. The "saw edge" used is pref. one which can cut its way free perpendicularly to the main direction of cutting, and can be a heated filament, a crossed band, etc. |
