<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To learn and compensate change of ineffective injection pulse width (TQO) caused by unevenness in difference in individual of injectors and deterioration with age. <P>SOLUTION: Pilot injection is performed in advance prior to main injection concerning only a cylinder of an engine. Pilot injection command pulse width (TQp) in pilot injection is forcedly changed (reduced from TQp3 to TQp1) toward injection pulse width at which fuel injection is not performed from injection pulse width at which fuel injection is performed. In this case, when fuel injection is actually performed, pulsation of a pressure value occurs due to flowing-out of fuel by fuel injection and actual injection amount in main injection fluctuates. Consequently, since an engine influence value such as fluctuation of rotation speed of the engine is changed, the engine influence value is detected, and data is obtained using pilot injection command pulse width (TQp) when the value is less than an engine influence detection threshold value as ineffective injection pulse width (TQO). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
