PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet synchronous high-speed non-gear traction machine, in which the structure is rational and simple, which is easily produced and manufactured, whose fitting control is convenient, whose transportation capability and speed of an elevator can be enhanced and in which the occurrence of vibration and the low-frequency noise are prevented, when the elevator is operated. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet synchronous high-speed non-gear traction machine is a device for driving the vertical motion of a box of the elevator and is mainly composed of permanent magnet synchronous motors 3A and 3B and a traction wheel 6. The two permanent magnet synchronous motors 3A and 3B are used, and the traction wheel 6 is attached in a bridge-type manner between rotation axes of the two permanent magnet synchronous motors 3A and 3B. To facilitate fitting, a fitting member 6 is fitted to the traction wheel 6. Two coupling stands 4A and 4B of concave-convex cylindrical curved surface contact-type for adjusting the supporting and fitting of the traction machine are installed at the bottoms of the two permanent magnet synchronous motors 3A and 3B.
