PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine normal interlock operation while taking a failure in an operation detector circuit into account. SOLUTION: At S301, ECU confirms whether or not an interlock signal has been detected. When an interlock signal has been detected, the processing proceeds to S302. At S302, it is confirmed whether a trunk lid is open or closed. When a trunk open signal is detected at S302, normal interlock operation is determined in S303.
