PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery-driven monitoring sensor device which can extend the life of a battery. SOLUTION: The monitoring sensor device, which is provided with a human body detecting sensor 1a, is driven by a battery 12 and transmits, to a parent machine, information based on the detection of a human body made by the human body detecting sensor 1a. The monitoring sensor device is provided with; a transmission means 13 which transmits information based on the detection of a human body to a parent machine; an estimation-target information acquisition means which acquires information for estimating the state of a place where the human body detection sensor 1a is installed; and a control means 10 which controls the length of time of transmission regulation in which transmission of the information is regulated based on the detection of the human body to the parent machine based on the information from the estimation-target information acquisition means.
