PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional amplifier capable of realizing a plurality of kinds of amplification systems by using a class D amplifier. SOLUTION: A control signal given to an external terminal T3 of a circuit network 12 selects a first mode wherein nodes S1 and Sa have the same level and nodes S2 and Sb have the same level, a second mode wherein the nodes S1 and Sb have the same level and the nodes S2 and Sa have the same level, or a third mode wherein both the nodes S1 and S2 have the same level as the level of either of the nodes Sa and Sb. Thus, a duty-controlled signal can be amplified by using combinations of the three modes to adjust a duty for selecting each mode. A DC voltage signal can be amplified by using one of the first and second modes and adjusting a voltage difference between DC voltages 1 and 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
