PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of reducing imprinting of a shade of an original to a read image without incurring much cost increase and losing the convenience of users. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus provided with: a light source for emitting light to the original; a lens for imaging a reflected light from the original; and a sensor for reading the imaged reflecting light includes a moving means for rotatably moving the lens and the sensor around a rotary axis along a read line of the original together with the light source.
