PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube device in which YV and vertical trapezoidal distortion can be adjusted optimally even in a toroidal coil. SOLUTION: The deflection yoke comprises a horizontal deflection coil, a vertical deflection coil, and a ferrite core. The ferrite core is split into an upper core 6 and a lower core 7, and a vertical deflection coil is wound in toroidal respectively to each of the upper core 6 and the lower core 7, and an upper core left-hand coil 32 and an upper core right-hand coil 34 are divided through a first intermediate tap 15, and the lower core left-hand coil 33 and the lower core right-hand coil 35 are divided through a second intermediate tap 26. A variable resistance which is in parallel with each coil and is connected to at least either of the first and the second intermediate taps 15, 26 is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
